Francisco González-Rosas (he/they) is a performance and new media artist born in Chile and based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. They hold a Master in Fine Arts in Intermedia (Concordia University, Montréal) and a BA in Acting (Finis Terrae University, Santiago, Chile). Francisco is a recipient of the 2024 Emerging Digital Artist Award (EDAA) and has participated in several artistic residency programs throughout Canada and internationally. Their work has been featured in the solo exhibitions Pose & Aparato (Centre D’Artistes Caravansérail, Rimouski, QC, 2023); The museum of the copy/pasted identities (Centre for Culture and Technology, Toronto, ON, 2022); and Techniques of the Narcissist (Elektra Gallery, Montréal, QC, 2019). Collective exhibitions include Sedimentary Futures (MacKenzie Art Gallery, Regina, SK, 2025); Terms of Use (PHI Centre, Montréal, QC, 2023); Don’t Tell Anybody What We Do When I Get Lonely (MAC Montréal, QC, 2021).

Through performance, video, installation, and digital media, Francisco González-Rosas’ creative research practice explores existing and speculative crossovers between the body and technology. Delving into image-making as a key aspect of contemporary society, their work enquires into the way technology and networked media produce subjectivities and influence social, economic and aesthetic relations.
